Rajinder Singh
Chief Executive Officer
Rajinder Singh is the Chairman of Vantage Trading Partners, spearheading the group towards IPO. He is also also a Director of Hanover Square Capital (UK) Ltd has over 25 years of experience in capital markets, sales, corporate finance, fund management and trading. From the early 1990s to Year 2005, Rajinder worked in equity trading and investment banking in London, Hong Kong and other Asian markets including Tokyo. He held senior management positions in Barclays, Peregrine, IKOS group, JM Sassoon and Pioneer Asset Management before going on to establish his own companies based in the UK, India and Singapore. He founded Frontier Investments & Capital Advisors, a Singapore-based group (with offices in London, New Delhi, Mumbai and Singapore) that specialized in Asian convertibles, corporate finance, sales and distribution, restructuring and re-financing. He was Chairman and CEO of the
Group which operated from 2005 until 2012. From 2012 -2016 he joined the Board of Prime Star Energy UAE and was CEO of Primesta Resources in Singapore, an oil and coal trading company. Both of these, form part of the ETA Star Group, UAE’s largest conglomerate which Employed 75,000 people in 30 countries. From 2016-2019 worked Pro Bono as an advisor and Board Director of Development Alternatives one of India’s oldest development NGO founded by Dr Ashok Khosla . Which over the last 25 years has raised over US $250 mln to help poor and empower rural needy through education and skill based training. He is the Patron of Karate federation of Himachal Pradesh and the President of Para sports association of Himachal Pradesh , India. Raj has studied a MSc in Composite Materials and a BEng in Material Science Engineering from the University of London.
Philippa Atkinson
Director Sustainability
Dr. Philippa Atkinson acts as an advisor on sustainability and good practice to the board of Vantage Trading Partners. Independently apart from advising the board, she is also the lead consultant on the Social Requirements for the High Carbon Stock Approach (HCSA), with the Forest Peoples’ Program (FPP). She is an independent academic and consultant specializing in high-level policy-oriented research into a range of socio-economic issues having substantial experience in designing and managing complex research projects and policy evaluations. Her work is increasingly focused on the overlapping issues around strengthening rights and protecting livelihoods in the context of commodity production for global supply chains. Dr. Philippa works with the corporate sector, governments, universities, NGOs and UN agencies, and voluntary certification standards. Dr Philippa education background include A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the Department of International Development, London School of Economics, Master of Science (MSc) in the Economic History of Developing Countries ,London School of Economics and A Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, St. Peter’s College, Oxford University
Jaswinder Singh Sandher
Chief Financial Officer
Jaswinder Sandher is Chief Financial Officer of Vantage Trading Partners, a graduate from King’s College, Cambridge University with a Master of Arts in Physics & Theoretical Physics. Over the course of his career, he has held senior roles at European Investment Bank (EIB), Barclays, ABN Amro, Standard Chartered and Bank of China. At EIB, he established the use of Medium Term Note programmes to streamline the debt raising programme. After overseeing positions as Head of EMTNs, Head of US Capital Markets and Head of High Yield, he significantly increased the revenue and profile of Barclays in the USA. During his tenure at Bank of China, he helped establish them as the Best Chinese Bank in the Debt Capital Markets and achieved top placement in the Global Emerging Markets League Table after just five years.
Jason Ali, Director
Head of Trading
Jason Ali, aged 49, has accumulated over 20 years of experience in Oil Trading. He has in depth knowledge and understanding of both the physical oil markets as well as the derivatives markets. He is actively trading physical oil till date and is in constant engagement with the global oil markets. Apart from Vantage Trading Partners, Jason also steers Ocean Petroleum and Eastern Petroleum as their Director, responsible for trading as well as risk. Among his credentials in the oil trade industry include a 10 year stint in Trafigura as the Head of Global Market Risk, as well as Sahara Asia for 3 years. Jason also has strong knowledge of crude and refined petroleum markets, with particular emphasis towards the clean markets. Cuba, the Americas and Asia are his areas of specialty.
Arvinder Sood
Board Director, Advisor
Arvi is currently Chairman and CEO of Hanover Square Capital (UK) Ltd, which is a financial and investment advisory firm authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the United Kingdom. Mr Sood has extensive experience in fund management, private equity and capital markets deal origination, structuring and execution. He studied developmental economics and began his career as a pension fund investment analyst with a major industrial corporation in New York. He subsequently oversaw operating assets in Asia, Latin America and Africa. Mr Sood has previously held senior managerial positions at Merrill Lynch, Kidder Peabody and Tokyo Mitsubishi International. He set up Hanover Square Capital in 2001 and successfully managed the Atlantis Investment Fund.Mr Sood is a graduate in economics from Yale University.
Ben Mansor
General Manager (Malaysia & Indonesia)
Ben Mansor is the General Manager of Vantage Trading Partners. With a background in Economics and Management, and over thirty years of experience in trading palm oil in physical and futures market, he has expertise in investments, real estate, banking, trade finance and logistics. His extensive list of networks in the Southeast Asian region brings in various stakeholders from the public and private sector. Ben leads in Vantage’s various investments in the oil palm value chain in Indonesia, offering invaluable insights in port logistics operations across various commodities, mode of transportation and types of packing. At present, Ben is developing various value investments specifically in areas of green energy, fortified organic fertilizers, biogas, biomass and waste-to-energy projects.
Sandeip Khakase
General Manager (India)
Sandeip Khakase is General Manager (India) of Vantage Trading Partners. Sandeip has over twenty years of experience in corporate finance, investment, economic analysis and business advisory. He has held senior positions at Mark AB Capital India, Global Absolute Capital, Shakti Pumps, Silverdale Services India, and Lion Pillar Consulting PL. Sandeip has been instrumental in many corporate financing and strategic advisory transactions with companies in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and India. He is a qualified CPM (Certified Portfolio Manager), PGDIA (PGD in Industrial Automation) and PGD IPR Law (PGD in Intellectual Property Rights Law) from Government Law College, Mumbai. Sandeip has a Masters in Management Studies (MMS) and LL.B from Mumbai University. He also has a LL.M (in Business and Corporate Law) from Symbiosis Law School, Pune.
Kelvin Shum
General Manager (Oleochemicals)
Kelvin, with 11 years of diverse experience in Trading, OEM, and Blending services in Malaysia, is the Founder and Managing Director of Rich Greenergy Sdn. Bhd. He oversees trading, OEM in Palm-based Biodiesel, Biodiesel Blend, and Petrochemical products. Under his leadership, the company has generated over MYR 750 million in revenue. Kelvin, representing Vantage Trading Partners, spearheads the oleochemical business, processing up to 5,000mt of finished oleochemicals annually from palm fatty acids. He holds a Business Information and Technology degree from Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Malaysia, and pursued further studies in Enterprise Marketing Management at Shih Hsin University, Taiwan.
Ong Kooi Hooi
Head of Compliance and Legal
Ong, with over 24 years of experience in local and international banks, currently serves as the Head of Compliance. He was previously the General Manager at ManagePay Services, overseeing operations and support services, and Head of Risk and Compliance at Mpay, ensuring regulatory compliance for e-money and money services businesses. In 2017, he was appointed CEO of QuickKash. He later became the product owner of direct lending services at ManagePay Resources Sdn Bhd. He holds an MBA in Finance from Management and Science University, Malaysia.
Lim Kah Ee
Legal Manager
Graduated with Honours from Multimedia University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B)(Hons). She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2017 and was retained as a Legal Assistant for four years under the tutelage of her Master before venturing out into the Banking Sector. She later joined Public Bank Berhad as a Legal Officer before eventually establishing Farhanna Lim (Advocates and Solicitors) as the Managing partner in early 2021 before joining Vantage Trading Partners as a Legal Manager in 2024.
Her key areas of practice are criminal, civil and corporate litigation and represented clients in a number of successful litigation cases which involved corporate and commercial disputes.
She also regularly conducts seminars on Labour Law as well as on Practices of business in Safeguarding of Legal Rights. She is also a consultant for Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM).
